🚨 Rampage of hooliganism in Jalandhar Cantt, 35 youths fired bullets on the streets, causing a 12‑minute uproar

Jalandhar: Terror spread in the Kant area of the city when gunshots were fired late at night. Around 30 to 35 youths on two‑wheelers arrived at Mohalla No. 30 in Kant and allegedly began firing while hurling abuse. The incident is said to have occurred at about 11:30 pm.

The entire episode was captured on the CCTV cameras installed there. The footage shows the attackers’ activities. According to information, the disturbance and firing continued for about 12 minutes. During this time, a car and two Activa scooters were damaged by gunfire. However, fortunately, no person was hit by a bullet.

As soon as the information was received, police reached the spot and began investigation. According to police, preliminary inquiry indicates the incident is linked to a clash between local residents or their acquaintances.

According to SP Madhavi Sharma, police have identified the persons involved in the incident and have registered them. Action is being taken for the arrest of the accused. Police say that after a thorough investigation, action will be taken as per law.
