In Goraya, a taxi and a three‑wheeler (auto) collided violently on the national highway. Four people aboard the taxi were injured in the accident. The impact was so severe that both vehicles were badly damaged. After the incident, chaos ensued on the highway, and the long queues of vehicles caused traffic congestion. Upon receiving information, Goraya police station arrived at the scene and, with the help of locals, transported the injured to the hospital for treatment.

Accident during attempt to save a fast‑moving vehicle

According to the information received, taxi driver Ranjeet Singh was traveling from Patiala to Bais with four passengers in his car. When he reached the national highway near Goraya, a fast‑moving vehicle coming from the opposite direction suddenly struck his car on the side.

It is said that in an attempt to save himself and the passengers in the taxi, Ranjeet Singh turned the steering of the car to the other side. During this, the car’s tire cut, and the vehicle lost control.

Taxi collided with a three‑wheeler parked on the roadside

The uncontrolled taxi went straight and hit the three‑wheeler parked beside the road. The impact was so strong that both vehicles suffered significant damage. People inside the taxi were injured and there was shouting at the scene.

Immediately after the accident, people present nearby came to help. They handled the injured and assisted in sending them to the hospital for treatment. It emerged that four people were injured in the incident. The good news is that no lives were lost in this accident.

Long traffic jam on the national highway
