LPU Protest Case: Police Arrest Three Individuals for Violence and Vandalism at Lovely Professional University in Fagwara
In the LPU Protest case, police have arrested three suspects in connection with violence and vandalism that took place at Lovely Professional University (LPU) in Fagwara. According to the police, the arrested persons are accused of participating in vandalism on the university campus. All three suspects have been presented to the court. To investigate the case, the police have formed two Special Investigation Teams (SITs).
Three Arrests in LPU Protest
According to information obtained from the police, three people were arrested amid the investigation of events that occurred during the LPU Protest. Among the arrested, 20‑year‑old Gagan from the Tibbhi locality of Fagwara is also mentioned. Sources say one of the accused was brought in from Mumbai by the police.
However, detailed information regarding the roles of the three arrested suspects has not yet been made public by the police. An officer from Satnampur Police Station stated that his team arrested the three suspects. The investigating officer refrained from providing detailed information about the arrests in front of the media.
Two SITs Investigate the Case
Given the seriousness of the LPU Protest case, the police have established two separate SITs for the investigation. One SIT is scrutinizing CCTV footage from the university and surrounding areas.
In addition, the police are collecting digital evidence. The investigation team is trying to determine who was present at the scene during the violence and vandalism and what roles they played in the incidents.
The police have also formed separate SITs to investigate FIRs numbered 163, 105, and 106 related to the case. The investigative agencies are incorporating videos, CCTV footage, and other digital material related to the events into their inquiry.
Gagan’s Family Expresses Concern Over His Arrest
Gagan’s family has expressed concern over his arrest. According to Gagan’s uncle, the family was initially unaware of the case in which the police had taken him. He said the family had been searching for Gagan since he went missing the day before.
According to the family, Gagan informed them by phone before appearing in court. After that, his uncle went to the court and tried to obtain information from the police officers about the arrest.
Gagan’s uncle claims that no prior case had been filed against Gagan. The family says he had started working as a delivery person at Domino’s about a month and a half ago.
Police Scrutinize CCTV and Digital Evidence
The main focus of the police investigation in the LPU Protest case is CCTV footage and digital evidence. In addition to the university campus, recordings from cameras in nearby areas are also being examined.
