Jalandhar Police Missing Child: After receiving information about the disappearance of a 4‑year‑old child in Jalandhar, the Commissioner’s police acted immediately, safely located the child and, after completing necessary procedures, handed him over to his family. According to Jalandhar police, the case emerged on 17 September 2026 from an area under the jurisdiction of Basti Bawa Khel police station. Around 2 p.m., the police received a report of a 4‑year‑old child missing. Upon receiving the information, police officials took the matter seriously and launched a search operation for the child.

Investigation Launched Immediately in the Jalandhar Police Missing Child Case

ACP West Jalandhar, Mr. Atish Bhatia, said that as soon as the report of the child’s disappearance was received, the relevant police teams were mobilised. Preliminary investigation revealed that two individuals riding an Activa had taken the child with them.

Given the seriousness of the case, a FIR was lodged at Basti Bawa Khel police station and the investigation to locate the child was intensified. The police began gathering information on possible locations and routes of movement.

CCTV Footage Became a Crucial Link in the Search

To locate the child safely, police teams meticulously examined footage from CCTV cameras installed in the area. Based on information obtained from cameras at various locations, the police advanced their search for the child.

Through the CCTV footage, attempts were made to gather details about the child’s movements and the individuals seen with him. The police teams accelerated their actions based on the available leads.

Following the police’s swift action and continuous efforts, together with cooperation from family members, local residents and other sources, the child was safely located.
