Jalandhar 4-year-old Keshav kidnapping case: Planning to sell for ₹1 lakh, accused arrested

In the Jalandhar kidnapping case of 4‑year‑old Keshav, police have arrested a suspect and made a major revelation. According to police, during interrogation it emerged that the accused allegedly planned to sell the child for one lakh rupees. The investigation also uncovered that they had taken an advance of twenty thousand rupees for the deal. However, because of a police blockade in the city, the accused could not carry out the alleged plan and fled after leaving the child at a bus stand.

In this case, police have arrested Rajat Rattu alias Rocky, while his alleged accomplice Prince is still reported to be on the run. Police say the investigation is ongoing and further information may emerge during interrogation.

Arrest in Jalandhar 4‑Year‑Old Keshav Kidnapping Case Within 72 Hours

According to DCP Aditya Warrior, police took the case seriously and launched a swift investigation. Police teams worked on various aspects and arrested the accused within about 72 hours of the incident.

Police say the accused Rajat Rattu alias Rocky was arrested around 5 a.m. from his village. Based on interrogation, police have also identified persons who were allegedly slated to receive the child for sale.

According to police, the second accused, Prince, is still at large and is being sought.

Alleged Plan to Sell the Child for ₹1 Lakh

During interrogation, police allegedly learned that the accused had planned to sell the child for one lakh rupees. Police say the accused had also taken an advance of twenty thousand rupees for the deal.

However, because of a police blockade in the city, the accused’s plan allegedly could not be carried out. Afterwards, the accused fled after leaving the child at a bus stand.

Police are now working to determine the motive behind targeting the child and to whom the accused allegedly intended to hand over the child.

Clothes Also Recovered in Jalandhar 4‑Year‑Old Keshav Kidnapping Case

During the investigation, police also learned that, allegedly after the kidnapping, the accused changed their clothes. Police have said they have also recovered those garments.

According to police, after kidnapping the child, the accused left him with someone they knew. To piece together the entire chain of events, police are continuously interrogating the accused.

Accused Is a Driver by Profession, First‑Time Offender

According to the police investigation, the arrested accused Rajat Rattu alias Rocky is a driver by profession. Interrogation also allegedly revealed that the accused had not previously committed such an offence.

However, police are now investigating how the kidnapping plan was devised, who orchestrated it, and who else may have been involved.
