Jalandhar: After an impromptu late‑night inspection of various police stations by Police Commissioner Satinder Singh, a reshuffle has been carried out in the police department. Several station in‑charges have been transferred and assigned new responsibilities.

Under the transfers, Rakesh Kumar, the in‑charge of Police Station No. 1, has been appointed as the officer in charge of Police Station No. 8. Meanwhile, Jagdish, the in‑charge of Police Station No. 5, has been given charge of Police Station No. 3.

In addition, Ravindra Kumar from Baradari Police Station has been posted with the DCP Special Branch. Sahil Chaudhary, the in‑charge of Police Station No. 8, has been deployed to Baradari Police Station.

Similarly, Surendra, the in‑charge of the CIA, has been assigned to Ramamandi Police Station, and Jaspal Singh, the in‑charge of Ramamandi, has been given responsibility for Police Station No. 1.

This reshuffle, carried out after the Police Commissioner’s late‑night impromptu inspection, is being seen as a step taken to make the police system more effective.
