CBI will investigate the Parvinder Singh Jhotta murder case! Bhagwant Mann’s government makes a big decision.

20, OCTOBER Chandigarh/Mansa: Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann has taken a major decision regarding the murder case of activist Parvinder Singh Zhotra, who had raised his voice against drugs.

The state government has recommended that the investigation of this case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced this decision via social media.

The decision by the state government came just before Central Home Minister Amit Shah's tour of Punjab. Amit Shah was scheduled to meet Zhotra's family. Meanwhile, Zhotra's father, Beem Singh, had already met the Home Minister and demanded a CBI inquiry into his son's death.

Zhotra had gained notoriety for speaking out against drugs. In July 2023, he had alleged that a medical store was selling prohibited drugs. After his suspicious death, there has been a continuous demand for a fair investigation.

Now, with the state government's recommendation for a CBI investigation, the central agency may take over the case. The truth regarding the circumstances of the death and related accusations will only become clear after the investigation.
