Important information has emerged for devotees regarding Premanand Maharaj's nocturnal pilgrimage.
Sri Hit Radhika Kelni Kunj ...........
An important notice for devotees regarding Premanand Maharaj’s nocturnal foot procession has emerged. According to a notice issued by Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Parikar, considering the growing crowd of devotees and the health of the revered Maharaj, the darshan offered during the night procession has been postponed indefinitely.
This procession has long been a special attraction among Premanand Maharaj’s devotees in Vrindavan. At night, large numbers of devotees used to gather on both sides of the road waiting for a glimpse of Maharaj. Following the new notice, this arrangement has now been changed.
Premanand Maharaj will not be available for darshan during the nocturnal foot procession.
According to the information, Premanand Maharaj would start the night procession around 2:30 a.m., heading towards Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj. During this time, a large number of devotees would reach the route to have darshan.
This time held special significance for the devotees. Even late at night, devotees arriving from different parts of the country would stay on the route to see Maharaj. As his popularity and the number of followers grew, the crowd during the procession also continually increased.
Now the notice issued by the ashram’s Parikar clarifies that darshan during the nocturnal procession has been halted for the time being.
Decision taken in view of the growing crowd
The increasing crowd during Premanand Maharaj’s night procession has been cited as a major reason for this decision. Maintaining order could become challenging when large numbers of devotees gather at night.
Devotees from various states travel to Vrindavan to have darshan of Premanand Maharaj. Many used to stand by the roadside during the late‑night procession to catch a glimpse of Maharaj.
Considering the rising number of devotees, the ashram has altered the darshan arrangement. Devotees are urged to follow the instructions issued by the ashram and cooperate in maintaining order.
Attention also given to Maharaj’s health
The notice also mentions the health of the revered Maharaj along with the growing crowd. The presence of a large number of devotees during the night procession created considerable congestion during his travel.
With this in mind, the decision has been taken to halt darshan during the procession for now. The notice states that the suspension is indefinite.
This means no definite date has been announced to restart the arrangement. Any future updates on the darshan arrangement will be communicated to devotees as issued by the ashram’s Parikar.
